National Championship Registration!

National Championship Registration begins June 6/3/19 (Noon CDT)

The nation’s top high school clay target student athletes will compete for individual and team titles of National Champion at the MTA Homegrounds in Mason, Michigan, from July 10-14.

Visit http://usaclaytargetchampionship.com for complete information.

Student athletes and teams registered in the current spring trap shooting season for each state high school clay target league in the USA High School Clay Target League are qualified to participate. Qualifying student athletes and teams must meet or exceed:

  1. Shooting performance requirements determined by the regular season’s overall average, AND
  2. Extracurricular activity participation eligibility requirements as determined by their school.

Year-end season average calculations are complete on 5/25/19. Student athletes are required to compete and submit scores in all competition weeks to qualify for registration.

The National Championship serves to recognize and honor the top student athletes participating in the USA High School Clay Target League. Therefore, the highest individual and team scoring averages will receive priority registration privileges.

DO NOT DELAY! Complete registration as soon as your assigned Tier opens!

Individual Competition Registration

Priority registration for the Individual Competition is determined by regular-season average. Please see the priority registration requirements and schedule below.

Maximum quantity of registrations for the individual competition: 1,800

Individual registration for qualified student athletes will be conducted through the League’s Athlete Management System (AMS) in ClayTargetGo! Athletes may check their qualification status and registration tier by logging into their profile.

When registration opens for each priority registration Tier, users can login to ClayTargetGo.com to review the qualification status and register the student athlete. In addition, an email will be sent to the parent/guardian email that is listed in the profile of the qualifying athlete.

A $75 individual payment will be required at the time of registration.
Registration is NOT complete UNTIL the required payment has been made.

The $75 non-refundable registration fee includes all targets (qualifying and final competitions) and an official National Championship t-shirt and pin.

Team Competition Registration

Priority registration for teams is based on the number of athletes that have qualifying regular season averages. A team will require a minimum of five student athletes (maximum seven) that meet the minimum season average requirements for each Tier to register a squad. All submitted team members must meet Tier registration average requirements.

Only one squad per team can register until Tier 3 opens. Please see the priority registration requirements and schedule below.

Team registration will be conducted through the League’s Team Management System (TMS) in ClayTargetGo! The coach will select 5-7 student athletes for the squad. Squads cannot be changed after a registration is completed. The $375 team payment will be required at the time of registration. Registration is NOT complete UNTIL the required payment has been made. After registration is completed, a confirmation email is sent to the head coach and the roster appears in TMS.

Alternates for teams may replace a squad member at anytime before a session begins at the Championship.

Maximum quantity of registrations for the team competition: 240

The $375 team non-refundable registration fee includes all targets (qualifying and final competitions) for five athletes and five official National Championship t-shirts and pins.
